The Azur hotel is situated in the heart of the French Riviera in Saint Aygulf, only about 50 metres from a 6 km long sandy beach. The town is surrounded by countryside and has its own harbour. The town centre is just 50 m away, the nearest restaurants are 100 m from the hotel and there are shopping opportunities within 600 m. It is the ideal location from which to explore Cannes (around 30 minutes), Nice (around 40 minutes) or Monaco, but is also well-situated for the Verdon Gorge in the interior of the country which, after the Grand Canyon in Colorado is renowned as the largest gorge in the world. It is some 60 km from Nice airport.
Renovated in 2006, this small hotel complex with its personal atmosphere comprises a total of 12 rooms. This air-conditioned apartment hotel is situated on a main road and features a bar with seating on a terrace and an Internet cafe with WLAN (charges apply).
The rooms come with a bathroom/shower, a double bed, a TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, a fridge and most rooms have a balcony.
The hotel grounds feature a swimming pool to which guests have access via the restaurant. In addition to countless water sports, including diving (charges apply), guests may, for an additional fee, try their hand at riding, tennis (tennis court is some 8 km from the hotel) or golf (the nearest golf course is around 5 km away) as well as cycling or mountain biking. Excursions by bus or boat to numerous towns or to the gorges at Verdon, Loup and Cians are also possible. Guests may enjoy a visit to the Roman Arena, the cathedral and the archaeological museum at Frejus or Villepey's nature reserve amongst other things. Saint Aygulf, for example, is famous for its annual Fete de l'Omelette, held in September, during which a gigantic omelette is prepared in the village square with 10,000 eggs.
By car: take the exit signposted Frejus Saint-Raphael from the A8 motorway. Drive onto the N98 in the direction of Saint Tropez. Saint Aygulf is the first village on this road. The hotel is situated on the village square. By train: leave the train at Saint Raphael station. By plane: fly to Nice.
The reception is open from 8 am to 8 pm. In case guests arrive outside of these times, they are asked to please give the hotel sufficient prior warning. |
