Welcome to the heart of the “Ville Vieille” a few steps away from the exceptional historic sites of the “Palais Ducal” and the majestic “Place Stanislas”. The hotel is an old eighteenth century residence. The “Marquis de Jouffroy” had it built for the “Comtesse de Bressey” in 1752. She became famous in the local history for being the “favourite” at King Stanislas’s court. Originally, the hotel was built on the remaining base of an old abbey dated from 17th century. In this room (breakfast room) we can notice the characteristics of Louis XVIII period: Ceilings “ a la francaise” (French style ceilings) – beams and painted ‘Fleurs de lys” (lis flowers) – a huge fireplace – paving stones. The hotel has the shape of a U. Its intoxicating blossom attracts many visitors each year, in spring. We wish you a very pleasant stay in this picturesque historic place. |
