General Description | |
La Villa de Mazamet, built towards the end of the art deco period in 1934 as a large family home, stands within a landscaped walled garden with direct views over the stunning Montagne Noire mountain range. Just a short stroll from the centre of the market town of Mazamet, La Villa is one of the area's landmark buildings dating to a time when Mazamet had world importance for its wool industry. 45km north of Carcassonne and 60km south of Albi, a perfect spot ofr exploring the area. After extensive renovations (from late 2005 to May 2009), La Villa de Mazamet now opens its doors as a luxury Chambres d'hotes tables d'hotes (bed and breakfast with restaurant) - offering five sumptuous guest bedrooms, restaurant, gardens and swimming pool. Whether staying for the duration of your French holiday, or for a few days en-route to other locations, La Villa de Mazamet provides an ideal base from which to explore all that the Department of the Tarn (set in the Midi-Pyrenees region) and its neighbouring Languedoc-Roussillon have to offer. Our aim is simple; to provide our guests with luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in a relaxing and calm environment; to use locally produced food (and wines) as integral ingredients for breakfast and dinner in our restaurant; ensure attentive, yet unobtrusive, service - making La Villa feel like your home whilst in France. We hope that our website provides you with the information required to choose La Villa de Mazamet for your stay in SW France.
