This spa hotel was founded in the 18th Century by Madrid's king and mayor, to whom the establishment owes its name, and the present-day building was inaugurated on August 1, 2005. The TermaEuropa Carlos III tourist complex comprises the newly-constructed hotel, with 86 air-conditioned rooms and direct access to the spa, the rural/spa tourist area of El Colvillo, which has 25 chalets, and the large historic park surrounding the spa and containing the archaeological remains of the former spa and the royal wine cellars. It also has rooms for meetings, incentive events and banquets and possibilities for outdoor activities. Further facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a lift, a cafe, a bar, a restaurant and Internet access.
