Situated in the centre of Santillana del Mar, a 12th century hamlet with picturesque cobbled streets and manor houses and surrounded by stunning countryside, this is an idyllic spot for a short weekend getaway or a longer relaxing family holiday. All the hotel's buildings have been lovingly restored back to their former glory. The cosy accommodation, in addition to boasting today's comforts, are decorated with attractive period and antique furniture giving it a really romantic air. There are cosy standard rooms, superior rooms with 2 double beds and beautiful junior suites with sitting room and a nice sun porch. In addition there are studios with a sofa bed and kitchenette and apartments with a separate living-dining area. Its impressive stone facade was brought stone by stone from the nearby village of Orena and lovingly reconstructed preserving many period features and charm. Cantabrico's motorway A-67, take exit-16 towards Polanco, turn right: Barreda, at the roundabout take the first exit and continue along the CA-131, and follow the signs for Viveda, Queveda, and Santillana del Mar. | |
