Most inns in Denmark date many years back some even several centuries. In the middle of the peninsula Salling we find Roslev Kro which was built as late as in 1988. Therefore the inn is born with all modern conveniences and it also has the necessary facilities for disabled persons. Roslev Kro is situated in the Limfjord land and this means that there is never far to twinkling coves and lovely broads. No matter the destination of your drive you will encounter undulating hills and the blue water of the Limfjord. There are many possibilities of sailing trips - you can go on a seal safari or simply use one of the many ferries which hurry to or from the many Limfjord islands. A good suggestion for an excursion is to visit the island Fur with the magnificent moler landscapes which candidate to be entered on the UNESCO Nature World Heritage List. In Fur Museum you can see the 55 million year old species of fish- animals and insects which are embedded in the fossils of the moler. Tinna Glisbo is the chef in Roslev Kro and she has chosen a concept which follows the classic Danish cooking traditions. The food is made of good Danish ingredients and it tastes exactly as in the good old days - and the prices are certainly not deterring. Each day she offers a delicious - todays course and the a la carte menu card comprises for example a manor Hamburg steak and the speciality of the house - a huge Roslev beef steak with a border of mashed potatoes. The children are very welcome in the restaurant. |
