We recommend a visit to Schloss Mespelbrunn castle, the medieval town Miltenberg am Main and to the town of Amorbach with the well-known abbey church. All these destinations can be reached after a short drive. Due to the ideal location of the hotel, the cities of Heidelberg am Neckar and Rothenburg ob der Tauber are also easily approachable. Our 13 single and 12 double rooms feature bathtub or shower, toilet, hairdryer, safe, satellite TV, phone, internet access, radio, desk and balcony. We happy to reserve a non-smoking room for you. In addition to the cosy restaurants you can also dispose of the large beer garden and dwell in the romantic courtyard in summer. Both beer garden and courtyard are venue to various festivities all year long, including a morning get-together with background music and the Lampionfest (lampion party). Our restaurant is famous for its game dishes (with game from our own hunting ground) and hearty Franconian cuisine. We serve chosen Franconian wines along with the food. Gasthof Engel is the ideal starting point for hikes through the Elsavatal valley and the Spessart nature park, as well as for trips to the immediate surroundings.
