In the midst of the fascinating Spreewald idyll- surrounded by close timber forest- meadows and flowing- the hotel Waldhotel Eiche lies lonely and a little bit enchanted. A green oak sheet belongs to the logo of the hotel- which can look back on a long tradition. Built as a small reeds- roofed blockhouse in 1756 what was usual for the Spreewald at that time- it is said that the Old Fritz should have stopped off there some years later visiting -his- colonists in Burgs todays local part Burg- Kolonie.
