 The Blomidon Inn located just outside a charming university town situated in the heart of the Annapolis Valley. The streets are lined with stately elms and beautiful Victorian homes reflecting the towns historic elegance. Downtown is bustling and boasts an array of colourful shops. Walking is relaxed and easy along the dykes which offer a magnificent view of Cape Blomidon and the Bay of Fundy. With some of the most fertile farmland from the Bay of Fundy and the world's highest tides.
Blomidon Inn has 29 guestrooms. Each is individually and uniquely furnished and decorated. Each room has a bathroom ensuite, a telephone, air conditioner and complimentary high speed internet connection. Afternoon tea (3:00 - 4:30 p.m.) and a cold continental buffet breakfast (7:30 -10:00 am) are offered complimentary to overnight guests.
The Inn offers a wide variety of non-smoking dining experiences. Intimate candlelight dinners. Extensive wine list, which has been awarded one of the most outstanding wine lists in the world. Casual Lunches & Weekend Brunches, and the terrace.
In researching the history of the inn, mention is made of the beautiful Victorian gardens which offered a burst of colour at all times on the 4 acre property between the Spring and Fall. Work began in 1995 to reestablish Victorian style gardens. A landscape designer from Halifax, has been working with the established gardens as well as developing new gardens. The Inn also has its own vegitable garden, providing the dining room with fresh unique salad greens, beans, tomatoes and peppers.
