Throughout the house, the dramatic collection of artwork is generously shared with the guests. The elegant hallway opens out onto a large porch, which looks down to wetlands and a big pond.
The three spacious, light filled, guest rooms are in a private wing the appointment is superb, with comfort a priority. Each room is individually styled with an en-suite, offering visitors superior accommodation in a country manor, all rooms look out onto impressive landscaped gardens.

The Lodge also offers guests the opportunity to dine outdoor whenever they wish for breakfast or afternoon tea, both included in the tariff. Evening meals are available by arrangement.
Breakfast done the 'Right Way' Meals are memorable and special at the lodge. Peter and Di prepare a sumptuous breakfast including orange juice freshly squeezed, homemade sourdough bread, fruit - often from the garden, in February fresh figs are in season. Sumptuous ricotta pancakes, omelette’s brimming with herbs gathered at that special time when their flavours peak and Peter’s cumquat marmalade or strawberry preserve are what you can look forward to.
In season fresh fruit is available in the rooms.
Dinner is First Class If breakfast is a feast then expect more delicious temptations for dinner. Tasty hors d’oeuvres on the patio or beside the open fire feature hermit crab tails, oysters, smoked salmon. Entrees may include zucchini, pumpkin or asparagus soup, prawn salad with home-made lime mayonnaise each with a masterpiece of flavours. Mains of fresh fish or a perfect cut of meat, 'Di-style' with herbs and special touches. Desserts are light and delicious our guests have enjoyed mango ice cream with fruit poached in rose water syrup, pannacotta with summer berries, fig tart, lemon soufflé and mulberry crumble.
Afternoon Tea Afternoon tea is served on the patio, the lounge or in your room. Freshly brewed coffee, a selection of teas including herbal and green tea, and home made cakes or scones are served for you enjoyment. |
