Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge, an ex-cattle station on Western Australia's rugged and remote Gibb River Road, is the ideal base from which to explore the West Kimberley's stunning, outback gorge country. Set in eight acres of lush, tropical, heritage gardens and a wide sweep of lawn, Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge offers echoes of Kimberley station life surrounded by stunning geological features, abundant wild-life and rare flora and fauna. We are open from April to November, catering to a maximum of 27 guests with a dinner, bed and breakfast package. Serviced daily, all rooms are well appointed with quality linen, toweling bathrobes, personal safes, and views of the well-established, tropical, heritage gardens. Both homesteads feature a comprehensive library, and shared guest laundry facilities. We encourage stays of a minimum two night duration, to enable guests to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the 'King Leopold Range Conservation Park'. Guests may take advantage of our self-guided nature walks, complete with complimentary maps and field notes, explore stunning gorges and remnant rainforest pockets, canoe down pandanus lined waterways, meet our three friendly dingoes, or simply relax and enjoy the licensed bar, gourmet country cuisine, tranquil homestead surrounds and warm, bush hospitality. | |
