General Description | |
Looking for a Malalane lodge where you can see some of South Africa’s most exciting big game animals without spending a huge amount? The Bush Camp at Kwa Madwala Private Game Reserve is one of the more affordable safari lodges in Mpumalanga. The Bush Camp (sometimes called the Kingfisher Bush Camp) consists of A-frame chalets in a private, tranquil environment. The camp is self-catering, with outdoor kitchens that have all the basic equipment you need to prepare meals. Firewood is provided for use in the braai (barbecue) area. A boma bonfire can be lit in the camp after dinner. When they don’t feel like cooking, guests staying at the camp can also choose to dine at the Manyatta Rock Camp restaurant, where vegetarian, red meat, and white meat options are always provided at dinner. Kwa Madwala Private Game Reserve is a 4,000 hectare/9,900 acre big game and wilderness conservancy just south of Kruger National Park. Guests have a 95% chance of seeing lions, rhinos, and elephants if they participate in the reserve’s game drives and safari activities (subject to charges). Among the many options are elephant-back safaris, horseback safaris, microlight flights, night safaris, and day tours of Kruger National Park. The staff can also arrange for guests to receive spa treatments at the Kwa Madwala Rustic Day Spa, play 18 holes of golf at the Leopard Creek Golf Course, see performances of traditional dancing and singing, and visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre and the Hoedspruit Cheetah Breeding Project. | |
