Located 45 miles southeast of Asheville, Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains is surrounded by wooded scenery so lovely, it has served as the location for several hit movies, including Dirty Dancing and Last of the Mohicans. At the heart of the 2,400 acres of Fairfield Mountains is Lake Lure, a postcard-perfect oasis where canoes and pontoon boats quietly glide across its still waters, as well as two extraordinary 18-hole golf courses. Deer and other wildlife are as much at home here as guests. In spite of such abundant tranquility, there is much to do.
