 The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach boasts an idyllic location with the most beautiful white sand beach on Maui. Located next to two championship golf courses and approximately four miles from Kapalua Airport, approximately $20 by taxi. Kahului Airport to The Whaler on Kannapali Beach is approximately 25 miles, $65 by taxi. Whalers Village, which is right next door, offers 65 shops and restaurants and many exclusive boutiques. Local attractions include Lahaina Cannery Mall (shopping ? dining) three miles, Lahaina Town five miles, Kapalua Golf Course seven miles, Maui Ocean Center 18 miles, and Iao Valley State Park 24 miles.
Hotel amenities include the oceanfront swimming pool and spa, oceanfront barbeques and picnic areas, full exercise room and sauna, free local calls, parking ($12), Internet access, daily housekeeping, laundry facilities, and five tennis courts. Surfing, windsurfing, sailing, scuba, snorkeling, big game fishing, whale watching, and other water activities are available.
Studio, one bedroom/one bath, and one bedroom/two bath rooms are available. The studio, 640 sq ft, is equipped with one king, one queen, one Murphy, or sofabed, and can accommodate up to three guests. The one bed/one bath, 1114 sq ft, is equipped with one king or one queen/sofabed, and can accommodate up to four guests. The one bed/two bath, 1118 sq ft, is equipped with one king or one queen/sofabed, and can accommodate up to four guests. All rooms feature kitchens, Italian marble bathrooms, and separate living and sleeping areas. Room amenities include irons and ironing boards, DVD/VCR players, dishes and utensils, and hairdryers. Rollaways and cribs are available. All units are non smoking with free high speed Internet access. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. The Whaler will engage in an exterior building renovation project beginning March 11, 2011 through February 29, 2012.
This tower renovation project will include repairs to both building exteriors, lanai railings and planter box replacement, and re-painting of both towers. Although we are planning to leave certain floors vacant to provide a buffer between the work site and our guests, there will still be periods of significant construction related noise.
All work is limited to Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
As a gesture of goodwill, guests will receive a complimentary Maui gift basket upon arrival.
