The monumental building of Petrovaradin Fortress is situated on the banks of the river Danube in Novi Sad, Serbia. The construction of it, began at October 18th, 1692. Its founder was The Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I, who laid on the safe conduct stone and the letter with which he approves the construction. This, firstly made building, bears the name “Leopold’s Bastion”. Place where the emperor stored the letter has never been found. The fortification complex was systematically constructed until year 1780. The hotel has been opened in the building known as Long Barracs, at 1968. Firstly known as “Varadin”, when opened, Hotel charmed with its stile. Completely was renovated at 2007. and with the same stile and glow, the second time opened its doors for guests.
