 The Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort & Marina is a luxury boutique resort situated on the privately-owned uninhabited virgin island of Dhonakulhi, North Maldives, Indian Ocean. The resort was opened on 1st August 2005 with 6 types of spectacular guest villas. Our marina is the first of its kind in the Maldives. The Island is a haven of peace, tranquillity and serenity. Island Hideaway is one of the very few resorts (currently 3) in the Haa Alifu Atoll. Despite the extensive facilities and services at The Island Hideaway, we have utilized barely 5% of the Island and lagoon, thereby leaving 95% in its original state, untouched by the hand of man.
Nature and luxury blend harmoniously together at The Island Hideaway. Our entire Island and lagoon is the exclusive and private domain of our guests. Our guest villa complexes are some of the largest of any resort in the Maldives. These majestic chalets are tucked into the lush greenery and scattered along the beach-line some 30 meters apart from one another, providing the ultimate in privacy. All of the Islands villas boast breathtaking panoramic views over the beautiful turquoise lagoon and Indian Ocean. The designs of our furniture, fixtures and fittings are a rustic celebration of nature, and we have used custom-made hand-finished natural materials throughout. At the same time, however, guests can indulge all their senses in the magic of this Maldivian Island and enjoy every exclusive luxury which sophisticated globetrotters have come to expect. The hotel provides amenities like Billiards, Children's facilities, Library, Lobby and Table tennis. PLEASE NOTE : Domestic transfers are organized between Male International airports to Island Hideaway by Domestic aircrafts which are Dash/Dornier flights. It is 45 minutes flight from Male international airport to the domestic airport (Hanimadhoo) and followed by 20 minutes speedboat ride to Island Hideaway. Our commitment to all our valued clients is that within 3 hours of arrival at the Male` International Airport, the domestic flight will depart to Hanimadhoo. Once the immigration clearance is done the clients will be met and assisted by Island Hideaway personnel. There is a special VIP lounge in the domestic terminal. All clients arriving for Island Hideaway will be accommodated in the lounge till the domestic flight departs.
NOTE: Resort will undergo renovation from 10th May to 21st December 2012 and will be closed during this time.
