 This hotel is in the historical city of Hida Takayama and is located in downtown Takayama, just a minute's walk from JR Takayama station. From Tokyo Station, take the bullet train for Nagoya and change for Takayama (JR Takayama Line, 129-minutes) to Takayama Station.
Being surrounded by the mountainous area, the hotel offers guests the chance to try an observation bath, an outdoor bath and a Jacuzzi on the top of floor of Kita building. Guests will be able to have a good view of Hida mountains from the baths and the Jacuzzi.
The hotel is 8-story grey building that is very modern in style.
The hotel offers several restaurants, cafe, and bars that serve Japanese, French and Chinese cuisines. The bar, "Shabutei" serves locally brewed sake.
The lobby is designed with an image of "The wind of Hida" and water feature. There is some seating areas for quiet relaxation.
The rooms are simply decorated and clean with great views of the North Alps, which are especially breathtaking in Winter. At rooms in south building, bathroom is medium in size and very clean. Only bathrooms of the south building have shower booth separately from bath tub.
