As of august 24 2011, City of Venice will implement a new accommodation tax that needs to be paid by the guest locally. Every guest staying inside Venice’s boundaries will be required to pay this fee this fee at the end of each stay directly at hotel. The fee is per night of stay for a max of 5 consecutive nights, children under 10 will be exempt from the tax. The fee is from 1 euro to max 5 euro per person per night depending on hotel location, hotel category, and seasonality.
