The vigilius mountain resort is like an island in the mountains, located 1500m above Merano and reachable only by cable car. Distant views enable an unobstructed view of oneself, while trifles are left behind in the valley. Resembling a fallen tree, the vigilius mountain resort nestles quietly into the surrounding landscape with its larch woods; and provides a view of the unique mountain scenery of the Dolomites - unobtrusive architecture, wherein comfort and design blend naturally with each other.
"Eco, not ego", dedicated to nature - according to the motto of architect Matteo Thun. On the exterior as well as in the interior, the design is characterised through the use of materials from renewable resources. The highly efficient insulation, the wood chip heating system, as well as the economical use of the precious Vigiljoch spring water, further expand upon the ecologic concept.
As authentic and open as the mountain itself are its dwellers. Here, at 1500 metres altitude, fifty staff members from different nations come together - dedicated to the desire to be your personal host: as their hearts tell them to do.
