An ancient rural village in the heart of Italy was transformed into a valuable accommodation centre thanks to an ambitious architectural project.The challenge was to renovate the old country houses next to Castello di Lanciano, in Castelraimondo (Macerata) and turn them into an enchanting "Relais Wellness" 4 stars, whilst preserving the environment, nature and local traditions.The high quality of services we offer and the successful integration of the centre into the surrounding environment, the gentle hills of "le Marche" and the Sibilini mountains is proof that our ideas have been realized. All this has been achieved through architectural designs in keeping with the existing local buildings. Relais Borgo di Lanciano is situated very close to Lanciano Castle which, together with a handful of other towers in the area, is today considered one of the "Celestial Rocks". Taking advantage of the absence of light pollution in the area and thanks to an initiative of the Camerino Mountain Community, they have been transformed into privileged sites from which to observe the celestial vault.
