Built in 2005, this family-run guest house is set in a unique natural environment located on the east coast of Lake Myvatn. Traditional Icelandic breakfast is served in the Vogafjos cowshed-cafe, 3 minutes walk from Vogafjos-Guesthouse. Breakfast is enjoyed while watching the cows being milked and guests can even taste the fresh milk. Local produce is the flagship of the restaurant, such as smoked lamb and trout and Icelandic cheeses. Geyser bread is a hot spring bread baked in the underground bakery using geothermal heat and traditional methods; a Myvatn speciality. Here guests can also purchase the local products. Myvatn Nature Bath is only 6 km away, a natural bathing place and steambath. Myvatn is renowned for its abundance many species of wild bird life.
