The Corner Guest House is bright and airy and comes highly recommended. With 12 well appointed en suite bedrooms, situated on the ground, first and second floors. Julie Wayne cater for everyone; a full vegetarian menu is also available. For those old romantics amongst you, there's even a four poster bed. The Corner Guest House is a no smoking establishment. For those of you who do smoke, there is a seating area outside the front of the guest house. We are registered with the Yorkshire Tourist Board and have a four diamonds rating with the English Tourism Council. Payment is by cash or cheque only as credit cards are not accepted. The Corner Guest House is an early Victorian built establishment and has always been a guest house, with posters on the wall relating back to Victorian usage, all rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated, with tea and coffee making facilities and TV's in all rooms as well as a main lounge available for all guests, with a large TV and chess board. Whitby has something for all, including The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, and for the more energetic amongst you there is the long climb up to Whitby Abbey. In the local area there are a host of footpaths across the North York Moors, the Cleveland Way and the coast to coast walk. Why not take a journey on the award winning North York Moors Steam Railway, which runs through the 'Heartbeat' village of Goathland. | |
