The Somerset border is only 5 miles away, and the local town of South Molton is just 3 miles away. The area is ideal for fans of walking and cycling – we are just 15 minutes from the Tarka Trail, where you can hire bikes and cycle the route, stopping to take the steam train when your legs begin to tire. Or instead relax in one of the many country pubs along the way! There are also a number of National Trust properties and English Heritage sites in the area, including Rosemoor with its Royal Horticultural gardens, and Castle Hill just 5 minutes away, which features 2,500 acres of grounds complete with gardens open to the public.
