General Description

The Seaview Hotel The High StreetThe Seaview Hotel is situated adjacent to the sea in the picturesque sailing village of Seaview, on the North East coast of the Isle of Wight. The small hotel has 28 well appointed rooms and suites all with en-suite facilities, televisions and telephones. All are non-smoking and are beautifully appointed, decorated in a tasteful and mellow manner. With lavish fabrics, bold designs, beautiful antiques, original watercolours, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, gleaming taps, crisp linen, fascinating novels, warm lighting and breakfast in bed - the bedrooms are designed to make you feel pampered.

The Hotel also owns Myrtle cottage, previously a local fishermans cottage, now a fully equipped self catering facility sleeping up to four.

The business is managed by Andrew Morgan and his team who welcome you to the Hotel. The Hotel was originally built by the local Caws family in about 1800 and over the last two decades the business and building has been transformed, with the extensive building work being carried out by descendants from the original Caws family. Previously only open for a couple of months during the summer season, it now buzzes with activity all year round and permanently employs over 35 Islanders. Working closely within the community, adopting many environmentally friendly policies and using predominantly Island produce from local suppliers, the hotel and restaurants have accumulated numerous awards and accolades and brought prosperity to the village of Seaview and the Island in general.

Dining at the Seaview is a delicious experience. Two contrasting restaurants and two bars are at the heart of the Seaview Hotel. The Island boasts exotic specialities - lobster, crab, sea bass, asparagus, wine and garlic. Add the Seaview's own fresh herbs and the innovative skills of the kitchen team and the sophisticated yet unpretentious restaurants buzz with mouth-watering expectation. Choose between the original restaurant at the front with its white linen, fresh flowers, silver, paintings and tick tock of a room full of clocks, the conservatory with its rare collection of ships models, blue glass and clean lines or either of our two bars. At breakfast the quiet rustle of newspapers, with oranges squeezed individually that morning, along with porridge, kippers and lashings of fresh coffee, helps to make a perfect start to your day
