General Description

Star Inn Romsey East Tytherley Road East Tytherley LockerleySituated in the Test Valley and close to the cities of Salisbury, Winchester and Southampton, just a short drive from the market towns of Romsey and Stockbridge, the area is rich in local attractions. The New Forest National Park is just ten minutes away and nearby National Trust property Mottisfont is one of the many historic houses and gardens to visit. The bedrooms are in a small cottage in the grounds and overlook the village cricket green. All ensuite rooms are individually styled, comfortable and quiet with the facilities you would expect from AA four star accommodation. We try to encourage an atmosphere of friendliness, relaxation and informality, whilst at the same time maintaining a high standard of service. We welcome children in the pub as long as they are under parental supervision, although we think pubs are for grown-ups in the evening. The Bar is everything that you would expect to find in a traditional country Inn. With deep red walls, leather sofas, bar tables and chairs the atmosphere is complete with a roaring log fire throughtout the winter months. The pretty front courtyard is a pleasant area in the summer months. Dogs of the well behaved and on-the-leash variety are welcome in the bar. The Star Inn Restaurant is a light comfortable beamed room where you can relax and enjoy mouthwatering food. From the canapes at the beginning of your dinner to the petit fours served with coffee at the end of the meal, everything is made in our kitchen. Cricket is played on Saturday afternoon during the season, and there are regular events such as Folk Nights and Quiz Evenings during the month.
