General Description

Old Custom House Padstow South QuayNestling within sight of the open sea at the mouth of the tranquil Camel Estuary, Padstow, in Cornwall, has always been a thriving fishing port and commercial centre for north Cornwall. At the heart of the town and overlooking the medieval harbour is the Old Custom House, it is still one of the finest buildings in the town and is now a stylish and intimate place to stay. It is famous for its fine food, award winning ales, elegant, intimate accommodation and for its luxurious Beauty Studio. Padstow is renowned for its restaurants and fine cuisine and Pescadou restaurant is a jewel in the crown. Fashionably blending ancient with modern design, Pescadou caters for every eventuality from the celebratory dinner to the casual lunch. Using fresh local produce and fish often straight from the quay outside, the restaurant offers an extensive menu of fish and seafood dishes complemented by a fine selection of wines. The Old Custom House is a popular inn in the centre of Padstow and guests in some rooms close to the bar areas may experience some noise at times during their stay. The hotel has a schedule of entertainment listed on the website.

Enter Padstow on the B3276 Wadebridge to Newquay road. Turn off this road and follow the signs to the Town Centre and Harbour. The Old Custom House is located just before the harbour on the left hand side of the road. Reception is just inside the conservatory. There is plenty of public parking in and around Padstow. For the shortest walk, park in the quayside Pay and Display car park which is immediately opposite the Old Custom House.
