Following on from a full rooms refurbishment, the Grouse and Claret reopened in Spring 2008 as a Marston's Inn. The pub itself is a beautiful 18th century building and offers 8 en-suite rooms within the building, decorated to a high standard and offering tea and coffee making facilities, flatscreen TV's, luxurious bedding and free wi-fi in the rooms. Our superb breakfast is always complimentary to our guests and includes a range of cooked options as well as a continental offer. The Grouse and Claret is located at the gateway to the Peak District National Park on the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell. The location makes it an ideal base for tourists exploring the region and is also a convenient base for business travellers, being within easy reach of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby and Manchester are easily accessible from the Grouse and Claret. The heart and soul of the hotel remains the pub itself and you can be sure to find something to tempt you from our extensive menu which is available all day.
