The Bull Inn is located off the A1045 - Swaffham to Fakenham Road and was once the first or last change of horses on the old Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth coaching route. Today, the inn has 10 recently refurbished en-suite rooms, with 3 disabled-friendly rooms on the ground floor. The inn still retains many beautiful original features, including exposed wooden beams. The building's original timber frame can be clearly seen in the restaurant and the rooms above. As well as the restaurant, the inn has a charming traditional bar, with a selection of real ales served all year round. The bar is also open to the public and is popular with local people as well as with hotel guests. The Inn's main building dates from the 17th century and has one of the few remaining original King Charles I fireplaces. There are 2 rooms in this building, one being a split-level family room . The structure's original timber frame can still be seen in this part of the building. The other rooms are in the 18th and 19th century part of the building. The old stables and coach house have now been converted into 3 double rooms, which are disabled friendly and have large shower rooms. The old hayloft has been converted into a family room. The inn lies in the heart of the region made famous by the TV programme Kingdom. This ITV series stars Stephen Fry as Peter Kingdom, a Norfolk-based solicitor whose offices are in Swaffham. The North Norfolk coast , Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are all within easy reach by car. The Inn's location also makes it a good base for walking and cycling breaks and there are storage facilities for bikes. The region is also excellent for fishing, all year round. With a day ticket, guests can enjoy fishing within 400 metres of the inn. tThere are plenty more wonderful fishing spots in the area too. Nearby is Pensthorpe home of BBC Springwatch and Thursford, Norfolk's biggest attraction and Fakenham races.
