The grounds include millennium wood and provide the opportunity for pleasant evening walks in the sight of the restored watermill. There are also different walks that can be undertaken around the area without needing a vehicle. Only three miles from the cottages are a selection of shops, including a pharmacy and post office. Both cottages have under-floor central heating, gas fired cooking, fitted units in the bedrooms and kitchens. Each also has a bathroom that offers both bath and shower facilities. The cottages each have alounge area with comfortable seating plus dining area. The kitchen in each cottage is fitted with a fridge, cooker, toaster, microwave and washing machine whilst in the adjacent watermill garage there is also a deep freezer and tumble drier for the use of both cottages. The bedroom in each cottage can be set up as two singles or one super king bed, as requested, whilst the second bedroom in Stable Cottage is equipped with double bed and fitted wardrobe. The cottages are ideally situated for visits to the historic city of Lincoln, the Lincolnshire Wolds, Cranwell and other unique towns and villages in the surrounding area. The countryside around Lincoln has a grace of its own. The towns of Gainsborough, Woodhall Spa and Sleaford mark its boundaries, it rubs shoulders with the wolds and fens whilst also being home to the rivers Slea, Witham and Till. | |
