The “Oakroyd” is minutes walk from the Town Centre and the Hartlepool Maritime Experience. The Marina and Hartlepool Museum are also close by. For families, the beach at Seaton Carew is approximately 3 miles away with lots of fun for everyone. Durham and its Cathedral is only 30 minutes by car. For a look back to the past, Beamish Museum is a further 15 minutes and will ensure a full day’s entertainment. Alternatively, spend a day shopping at the Metro Centre, one of Europe’s biggest shopping centres (40 minutes by car). Similarly, the Yorkshire Moors and North East Coast are 45 minutes drive, or find the sleepy villages of Guisborough and Northallerton for Markets. Northumberland and York are approximately 1½ hours away. All our rooms are ensuite and well equipped. We have a small restaurant and bar.
