At Averon City Centre Guest House we offer good value bed and breakfast accommodation only 10 minutes walk to Edinburgh Castle. Our Georgian townhouse is in a residential area in the south side of the centre of Edinburgh. To the rear of the property, we have a car park and you can leave your car here for the duration of your stay. Averon is a historic listed building. The house is fully restored but still retains its original character and style. We have 14 guest rooms, decorated and furnished to a high standard. Some have a view to the rear of the guest house with a beautiful walled garden dating back to 1750. It provides a wonderful haven for guests to relax after a busy day in the city. Our location in the West End of the city is near to the busy and famous shopping centre of Princes Street, probably the premier shopping street in Scotland. Close at hand are numerous good restaurants, theatres and the Usher Hall, the main concert hall in the city. Only a five minute walk from here is the Edinburgh International Conference Centre which is located in the main financial district of the city. When the house was built it was located on open countryside out with the old city of Edinburgh, which was the old town surrounded by the ancient city wall and close to Edinburgh Castle. We are pleased to arrange day tours to Loch Ness and Loch Lomond, with a pickup from the guest house.
