General Description

Old Church Farm 16 Main Street, BroadmayneSituated in the lovely small village of Broadmayne, only ten minutes from the county town of Dorchester, and 15 minutes from the Jurassic Coast, the 17th century Old Church Farm has been beautifully renovated but still retains many of its original features including a 17th century window with some of the original hand spun panes still in place. Wooden beams can be seen throughout the property, and a large inglenook fireplace which still has a Bressumer beam. The property was originally part of the estate belonging to the Tudor King Henry VIII, who subsequently sold the house and its lands to W. B. Talbott whose name is inscribed on wooden panelling in the attic room Guests can enjoy the elegant surroundings of their room where teacoffee making facilities are available along with flat screen T.V. or make use of the large lovely walled garden to sit and relax.
