The Whitehall was originally built as a private residence in 1898, and has been lovingly restored into a traditional Country House Hotel. Nestled at the base of the West Pennine Moors, centrally located between BOLTON and BLACKBURN with DARWEN we provide the perfect retreat for either BUSINESS or LEISURE. Our resident lounges are perfect to either relax with a daily newspaper by an open fire or make use of our COMPLIMENTARY wifi which will extend into the courtyard - weather permitting!We may be steeped in heritage but we are certainly not stuck. Adjoining the traditional setting of the hotel we offer a very modern DINING experience. MJs has gained an enviable reputation for providing the best of seasonal and regional produce which is simply cooked. The open kitchen and feature fish tanks with outside decking overlooking the grounds have resulted in several 2011 accolades. Several menus are available including a light bites option and an inclusive daily menu for less than £20 for 3 courses. Our spacious BEDROOMS on the groundfloor have recently been refurbished. We also have several feature bedrooms with bespoke furniture, 4 poster beds and 6 jet spa baths. Complimentary hospitality trays are available with speciality teas and coffee with locally produced cookies. Secure parking is available to the front of the hotel with preventative cctv coverage.
