General Description | |
Min Y Gaer is a ten bedroom, family run guest house, conveniently situated close to the amenities within the town of Criccieth. Min Y Gaer faces due South, overlooking the Esplanade, with a commanding view of the scenic Tremadog Bay coastline. Min Y Gaer also has a fine view of Criccieth Castle and, in fact, the phrase "Min Y Gaer" when translated from Welsh means "Near The Fort". Criccieth is situated in the south east corner of the Llyn Peninsula, on the shores of Cardigan Bay, just outside the Snowdonia National Park. Min Y Gaer is an ideal location to use as a base whilst touring North West Wales, or as a place to just stop and enjoy the pleasant, unspoilt local surroundings. There are several fine beaches within easy reach and Criccieth, itself, has two, which are both safe for bathing. Many sporting activities such as golf, tennis, squash, bowls, fishing, climbing, boating, riding etc. are available locally. The scenery is magnificent and there are many pleasant walks and places of interest to see. There are also many historic buildings and local attractions to visit. At Min Y Gaer we have created a friendly, warm and informal atmosphere. We aim to provide good food and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price which we believe represents excellent value for money. Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Dogs allowed, additional charge of £2.50 per night. Children welcome. Check-In time: 1600 and Check-Out time: 1000. | |
