General Description | |
Barclay Farmhouse is a luxuriously extended 18th Century dwelling-house situated in the historic village of Biddenden, in the heart of Kent. It has been awarded the highest accolade for guest accommodation, 5 Stars with a Gold Award, and a Bib Award from Michelin as well as a feature in the world renowned Alastair Sawday Guide - Special Places to Stay. The Farmhouse is set in beautifully maintained gardens with a large pond and enjoys rural views to all aspects, being set back 100 metres from the road with ample parking. Centrally located, we are ideally placed for walkers and garden lovers, being just ½ a mile from Biddenden Vinyard, and four miles from Sissinghurst Gardens, the steam railway at Tenterden and Headcorn train station with its direct line to London. Leeds Castle is a little further at 8 miles, or alternatively enjoy a 15 minute stroll down the bridle path or public footpath from the Farmhouse to the village itself. Bookings made within 48 hours of arrival will be followed up with a courtesy email so that we may plan your accommodation requirements. Wireless internet is available and we have Freeview LCD TVs in all rooms. There is disabled access to the ground floor room. With regret, due to the danger of the large deepwater pond at the front of the property, we are unable to accommodate under 18's. | |
