The Horse Groom is loacted in the picturesque village of Milcombe near Banbury. A quiet attractive old country inn in a lovely village close to Banbury, Stratford, Chipping Norton and the Cotswolds. With golf courses and fishing within walking distance. At the front of the building is a lovely enclosed patio area surrounded by planters filled with a collection of herb plants. The traditional bar has a stone floor, seating for around 25 customers a wood-burning stove at either end. There's a small snug with a darts throw and comfy leather sofa. At the rear of the building is a dining room which can seat upto 50 people. This area has been completely re-designed as a contemporary eating area. Historic Banbury is famed for many things, namely its cakes, the nursery rhyme Ride a Cock Horse and the Oxford Canal. However, as well as all this, it is a thriving town in North Oxfordshire with lots more to offer its visitors with nearby Broughton Castle providing a stunning backdrop in many films, such as Shakespeare in Love.If you want some retail therapy then Bicester Designer Outlet Village is just 30 minutes drive away. | |
