Les Remparts is a small intimate family run hotel set in the picturesque medieval village of Gensac, South West France. The hotel offers peace and tranquility along with a warm welcome from your hosts Steve and Veronica Parker. Les Remparts has been awarded the prestigious Logis de France 3 Cheminees, and is one of the focal points of the medieval village of Gensac, sitting next to the 11th Century Church of Our Lady. It is ideally situated just one hour from Bordeaux and less than 40 minutes from Bergerac. Within a short distance of the hotel lie many attractions, non more popular than the picturesque town of St Emillion, a long time favourite with wine lovers. At Les Remparts we have also been recognised in the major food guides of France such as Michelin and Gault Millau so don't forget to take advantage of the wonderful cuisine during your stay. Whether it be enjoying a breakfast of freshly baked croissants and home-made jams and marmalades or an intimate candlelit dinner in our restaurant, you will not be disappointed. During the warm summer months our guests enjoy eating on the terrace overlooking the organic vegetable garden and Dureze valley. Taste the best the region has to offer whilst enjoying the most magnificent sunset across the valley. Menus start from 25. One of the most popular activities of course is tastings of the local wines. We have done a lot of work with local chateaux who can offer you personalised tastings of some wonderful wines. | |
