Denmark Bryrup Velling Koller The Best Hotel Deals

Located outside the town of Bryrup, in a family farm setting surrounded by forest, this Silkeborg guest house is approx. 20 km/12.4 miles south of the city centre. The Hotel Velling Koller is in a historic building, part of a tradition of holiday accommodations in this spot that goes back to 1908. Much of the original building was destroyed in a fire in 1988, but it has been lovingly restored by a local family. The hotel’s restaurant, in a traditional half-timbered building nearby, has received positive reviews for its Danish and French cuisine. Children will enjoy visiting the animals on the farm and taking a ride in the donkey cart. Horse owners can bring their horses with them; the guest house can stable their steeds for an additional fee. Bryrup is in the Lake Highland area on the Jutland peninsula, considered to have some of the most beautiful landscapes in Denmark. Other attractions include the Silkeborg Birds of Prey Show and a steam engine called the Veteran Train that gives rides between Bryrup and Vrads. Both are a short drive from the guest house. From Bryrup it’s a 30 minute drive by car to the city of Silkeborg. Buses for Silkeborg leave regularly from the nearby bus stop called Vellingvej Lystruphavevej.
