The Radler Hotel in Bavaria is a good choice for those cycling or taking a weekend break away from Frankfurt, Stuttfart, or Nuremberg. This hotel is located in the scenic town of Wassertrudingen, between the Oettinger Forest, the Hahnenkamm foothills, and the mountain called the Hesselberg. Opened in May 2010, the Radler Hotel has 19 modern, colourful guest accommodations. A conference room with the capacity to seat 100 guests is prepared to host professional meetings or social events. Guests can enjoy the breakfast buffet in the morning and lunch or dinner at the informal hotel restaurant. Meals are served out on the terrace near the city fountain in the summer. The Radler Hotel is located on the market square of Wassertrudingen, near the town’s original Stadttor or town gate. Inside the Torle, a city landmark, is the small Fisheries and Natural History Museum. Another small museum is found in the 19th century watchman’s room in the church tower. A 10 minute drive north takes you to the Dennenlohe Castle in Unterschwaningen, which has the largest rhododendron park in southern Germany. In and around Hesselberg, 4 km/2.5 miles to the northwest of Wassertrudingen, are excellent hiking trails. Approx. 34 km/21.1 miles to the northwest of Wassertrudingen is the Frankenhohe Nature Park. Wassertrudingen is approx. a 40 minute drive from the city of Ansbach. | |
