General Description | |
There is hardly a town in Germany that is more charming and traditional than Rothenburg. In the historic part of this enchanting city you find the Kloster-Stueble, your romantic home for unforgettable moments. According to the chronicles the house was built as early as 1534. Originally, during almost four centuries it served as a farmhouse until it was turned into an inn. The Kloster-Stueble is located in the Heringsbronnengasse. The name is derived from the medieval fountains in which the pickled herrings brought from the coast and stored in barrels were desalted and washed. Directly behind the Kloster-Stueble you find the Castle Garden (Burggarten), a quiet park with a unique view over the town whose charter was granted in 1171 by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa. For three generations now the Kloster-Stueble has been owned by the same family who want to welcome their guests with a very personal hospitality. | |
