Our traditional stone built family house in Kalavasos village, in Larnaca District of Cyprus is about half way between Limassol and Larnaca. Kontoyiannis House is a traditional Cyprus village house from the period before the 1890's. Thick stone walls, lots of windows, built around a central courtyard, wooden shutters are a feature of Cypriot architecture. Cool courtyards in summer filled with grape vines and a riot of colour in the scattered flower pots. In winter a warm suntrap for a peaceful lunch. It is has been a member of the Cyprus Agrotourism company since the company first began operation. The Kontoyiannis House is a great place to use as a base while exploring Cyprus.
