Please consider that Zermatt is car free. By car, you can only reach the town of Tasch, 3 miles/5 km before Zermatt. There, you can leave your vehicle in one of the multi-storey car parks, some of which do also offer outdoor parking spaces, as well as a taxi service to and from Zermatt. Also, the shuttle trains of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway between Tasch and Zermatt run in 20-minute intervals.
