This 3 star inn is located in the Abersee area on the western shores of the Wolfgangsee, approx. 4.5 km/2.8 miles to the southeast of St. Gilgen (called Sankt Gilgen in German). The waters of Lake Wolfgang (the Wolfgangsee) are exceptionally clean and clear, making it a great place for swimming and scuba diving; some excellent dive sites are near the inn. Other popular watersports on the lake include sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, and para-sailing. The inn offers bicycle rental and is located on the Gamsjaga Salzkammergut Cycle Path. On the other side of the lake, numerous hiking trails lead up the Schafberg (Sheep Mountain), considered one of the most beautiful mountains in Austria.
